Miranda Lambert to Open Nashville’s Newest Venue With Special, One-Night-Only Show

American Songwriter · 2 hours ago

Miranda Lambert will headline the opening night of The Truth, a new 4,400-capacity live music venue in Nashville's Wedgewood-Houston neighbourhood, on 1 October. The one-off show, billed as Miranda Lambert: One Night Only, falls the night before the release of her latest album, Crisco, giving the venue's launch added significance for both Lambert and the Nashville music scene.

The performance will span Lambert's back catalogue of award-winning hits alongside selected tracks from Crisco, backed by a 12-piece string section she says will bring a new dimension to her live show. Tickets go on sale on Friday 21 August at 10am CT. Crisco, a 12-track record, has already yielded singles including the title track, "Till The Going's Gone", "Sunset Marquis" and a Chris Stapleton duet, "A Song To Sing", which Lambert says draws on influences such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
