Megan Thee Stallion Earns Multiple New RIAA Certifications as ‘Savage’ Hits 6x Platinum
Megan Thee Stallion has received nine new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America, cementing her status as one of the top-selling artists in hip-hop. The announcement, made on 18 August, comes as the Houston rapper continues to tease her forthcoming album, Act III, and follows a distribution deal she recently signed with Interscope Records.
Among the new plaques, her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper "Savage" has reached 6x Platinum, while "Body" and "Girls in the Hood" have both hit triple-Platinum. Her track "Mamushi", featuring Yuki Chiba, has gone Platinum, and several other songs and her Act II album have been certified Gold. The news follows her first Diamond certification, awarded earlier this month for her 2020 hit "WAP" with Cardi B, which marked her fourth Diamond plaque overall.
