GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Appears Online Ahead of Official Reveal

Push Square · 4 hours ago

Videos purportedly showing gameplay from Grand Theft Auto 6 have begun circulating online, posted by an unknown leaker ahead of Rockstar Games' planned official reveal. Fans report receiving DMCA takedown notices from Rockstar over the clips, which is being taken as a strong indication the footage is genuine, and an image claiming to show the game's full map has also surfaced. The leak comes just a week before Rockstar is due to unveil an "extended look" at the game via a Netflix presentation, adding pressure to the studio ahead of that event.

Two clips have been described in detail: one shows protagonist Jason playing basketball at his home, complete with an aiming mechanic and a small "Focus" boost for successful shots, while the other shows him causing a highway pile-up, killing a driver in a fight, and triggering a two-star police pursuit, alongside apparent karma and loadout/storage interface elements. The footage is believed not to be from a recent build, with speculation it may date back as far as 2023, and reports suggest it looks like an early stage of development. Rockstar has not commented publicly on the leak.
