Fast Forever Starts Shooting in December, Confirms Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel has confirmed that filming on Fast Forever, the eleventh instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise, is set to begin this December. Billed as the final chapter in the long-running saga, the film has been through an extensive development process, and its start of production marks a significant milestone after years of delays and script rewrites.
Speaking to Variety ahead of a 25th anniversary screening of the original 2001 film, Diesel said shooting would start in December "if I can make good on the request from the studio," adding that the project had gone through four sets of writers over four years of development. He also described being moved to tears after reading the completed script. An earlier July video appearing to show Diesel in character on set turned out to be tied to a World Cup promotional advert rather than actual production. Fast Forever is scheduled for release on 17 March 2028, though full casting details have yet to be confirmed.
