NME · 3 hours ago

Phoebe Bridgers has cancelled the remaining dates of her intimate UK album shows after being hospitalised with appendicitis. The singer-songwriter, who turned 32 on Monday, had played two small gigs at London's Union Chapel to launch her new album 'Lost Weekend', but the run's remaining dates in Kingston, Brighton and Bristol have now been postponed.

Bridgers announced the news on Instagram, joking "I got appendicitis for my birthday" alongside a photo from her hospital bed, and promised fans the shows would be rescheduled. Venue Banquet Records confirmed it was working with her team on new dates for the Kingston shows. Bridgers is still set to tour North America next month and return to the UK and Europe in November and December, with dates including Dublin's 3Arena, Manchester's Co-op Live and London's O2.
