The next Binding of Isaac game is going up against Grand Theft Auto 6
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance + Online has been given a console release date of 19th November, placing it on the exact same day as Grand Theft Auto 6. This is notable because most major publishers have gone out of their way to avoid clashing with GTA 6, either pulling titles from 2026 entirely or crowding into September and October instead, yet Isaac's developers appear unfazed by the direct collision.
Repentance + Online bundles The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with all its expansions – Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, Repentance and Repentance+ – along with online multiplayer, including Friend Matches for up to five players and public matchmaking, both previously available in a PC beta since 2024. The console version launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, with a physical release also planned for Switch 2. The wider release calendar remains disrupted, with games like Fable pushed out of 2026 and others such as Onimusha: Way of the Sword shuffled around a congested September, leaving Phantom Blade Zero as the only other major title releasing anywhere near GTA 6's window.
