KORN, EVANESCENCE, DEFTONES And RUSH Producer NICK RASKULINECZ Launches HISS RECORDINGS

Blabbermouth · 2 hours ago

Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, known for his work with Foo Fighters, Deftones, Korn and Evanescence, has launched a new singles-focused record label called Hiss Recordings. The venture is designed to showcase artists he has personally discovered, releasing their music in pairs of songs to build wider audiences one release at a time.

The label's debut act is Doom Mutual, a Nashville-based duo made up of Daphne Browdy and David Gestiehr, whose first release is a two-track digital single, "Static Planet" and "Crowbar". The "Static Planet" video premiered via Revolver alongside an interview in which Raskulinecz explained his enthusiasm for the band's distinctive sound. Doom Mutual described the track as reflecting a sense of searching for connection amid an artificial, distant world, aiming for a dense, immersive sonic feel. Raskulinecz, who began his career in Knoxville before working at LA's Sound City studio, now runs his own studio in Nashville.
