WATCH: YUNGBLUD Perform In A Wheelchair With A Broken Leg

Rock Sound · 3 hours ago

YUNGBLUD, the British singer whose real name is Dominic Harrison, performed a wheelchair-bound set at a festival in Portugal just days after breaking his leg in a motorcycle accident. Rather than cancel his shows, he pushed through the pain to honour commitments to fans, even crowdsurfing from his wheelchair during the performance, in a display of the dedication he is known for towards his audience.

The injury occurred over the weekend before the show, with Harrison confirming on Instagram that his leg was "fucked" but that he would still be performing in Portugal and Belgium as planned. He played the CA Vilar de Mouros festival in Portugal, and afterwards thanked his team and the fans for their energy, revealing he had also damaged ligaments in his knee. He said he plans to undergo surgery after his remaining shows, including one scheduled for the following Friday, in order to recover ahead of a full touring schedule next year.
