Charlton Athletic have bolstered their goalkeeping options by acquiring Arthur Okonkwo on a season-long loan from Wrexham. The 24-year-old Nigerian international becomes the club's eighth summer acquisition as they prepare for their Championship campaign.

Okonkwo brings established experience at the level, having accumulated 46 clean sheets across 121 appearances for Wrexham following his initial loan arrival in 2023 and subsequent permanent transfer. He featured prominently in Wrexham's league fixtures last season with 39 Championship appearances, though he did not appear in their recent opening match versus Cardiff City.
