Kingfisher will appear together at New York Comic Con to discuss Astarion's backstory, tying into an upcoming official prequel novel exploring the vampire spawn character's life before the events of the game. The panel offers fans a chance to hear both the actor who originated Astarion's performance and the writer adapting his history discuss how they are expanding one of the game's most popular characters beyond the RPG.

The panel, titled "Before Baldur's Gate 3: Astarion's Untold Story," takes place on Thursday 8 October from 12:15pm to 1:00pm ET, moderated by Collider's Maggie Lovitt. It will focus on Astarion's largely unexplored past, including the nearly two centuries he spent enslaved by Cazador, and on the creative process behind adapting the character for the prequel novel, Baldur's Gate 3: Astarion.
