Aston Villa have signed West Ham defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka on a season-long loan, with the deal including a "conditional obligation to buy". The move takes the DR Congo right-back back into the Premier League after West Ham's relegation to the Championship last season, and comes as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a campaign that includes Champions League football.

The exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed, though West Ham had previously sought a £25m fee from interested clubs. The 28-year-old joined West Ham from Manchester United in 2024 on a seven-year contract, making 65 appearances in two seasons, and previously won the League Cup and FA Cup during 190 appearances for United.
