Slayyyter delivered a rock-tinged cover of Hole's "Violet" for Triple J's Like a Version series, drawing praise from Hole frontwoman Courtney Love herself. Known primarily as a pop artist, Slayyyter showed a heavier side on the track, channelling Love's raw vocal delivery while adding her own rasp and control, backed by a band that gave her room to build to soaring choruses.

Love reposted the performance on Instagram with an approving, playful comment, and Slayyyter responded expressing hope she'd made her proud. Slayyyter explained that Hole's 1994 album Live Through This shaped her as a teenager and that "Violet" was one of the first songs she learned on guitar. The cover follows a busy year for the singer, who released her third album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA in March, played major festivals including Coachella, Governors Ball and Lollapalooza, and is set to begin a North American tour in Los Angeles on 23 August before dates including Reading Festival in the UK.
