Nickelback have released "Leave Me Behind", the third single from their forthcoming album Everything Under the Sun, due out on 30th October. The mid-tempo rock track carries an emotionally weighty theme, continuing the band's rollout of material ahead of the record's release and giving fans another preview of its sound and lyrical direction.

Frontman Chad Kroeger described the song as being about supporting someone through hardship while also grappling with the fear of being left behind, calling the tension between those feelings key to making the track feel personal. "Leave Me Behind" follows earlier singles "Rattle the Cage" (featuring John 5) and "Bones for the Crows", with a visualiser now available and pre-orders open for the album.
