Sylvester Stallone has defended his decision to front the 2023 reality series *The Family Stallone*, which follows his home life with wife Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters. The move surprised some observers given his Oscar-nominated pedigree, most recently for *Creed* in 2016, and drew criticism from those who saw it as an odd career detour, but the actor insists it was a deliberate, meaningful choice rather than a sign of professional trouble.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Stallone described the show as "the ultimate home movie" and a chance to spend time with his children while they see him "in action". The series began filming as he wrapped Tulsa King, and notably made no reference to the marital difficulties reported around the time Flavin briefly filed for divorce, instead presenting the family's life as harmonious. Stallone rejected the idea that doing reality TV amounted to "stooping to conquer", framing it instead as an opportunity to show "the real truth" of his family life.
