Marvel Snap will introduce its long-requested Draft mode on 24 August, giving players a new, limited-time way to build decks and compete. The update matters because it is one of the biggest changes to the Marvel-themed card game since its 2022 launch, responding to years of community demand while allowing developer Second Dinner to test a format that differs sharply from normal play.

Players will choose a three-card starter package based on archetypes such as destroy, ramp, move or ongoing, then draft seven further cards with mode-specific altered statistics or extra abilities. They must win five rounds, adding two cards and further augments as they progress; Second Dinner says the mode is initially temporary because Marvel Snap’s small decks and strong synergies make drafting difficult to balance. Draft will launch on Android, iOS and Windows PC, with its return after the first event to be decided using player data.
