Casio’s Smart Watch Launch as Wild Live Festival Ends

Casio has expanded its UK watch range with the F-B100W, a retro-styled digital watch that adds Bluetooth connectivity and step counting to a design inspired by the long-running F-91W. Priced at £55, it links to Casio's companion app for activity records and settings, and also offers automatic time adjustment, world-time settings and a phone-finder function. It is a basic connected fitness watch rather than a full smartwatch, with no GPS or heart-rate sensor, but uses a replaceable battery rated to last around two years.
Separately, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has confirmed that its Wild Live festival will not continue after 2026, with rising costs making the event unviable. The final two-day event takes place on 29 and 30 August at the Doncaster attraction, with park director Cheryl Williams citing steep operational cost rises, the expense of hiring in infrastructure, and additional staffing costs linked to Martyn's Law security requirements. It follows the closure of other South Yorkshire festivals, including Reytfest and Wentfest, amid weaker advance ticket sales, even though Wild Live's Saturday tickets are said to be nearly sold out.
