Kid Cudi Preparing To Film “F*ckin Gnarly” Followup To Directorial Debut ‘Doe’, Both Set For 2027

Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) has revealed he is preparing to shoot his second directorial feature within weeks, following closely on the heels of his debut film Doe. The rapper and actor announced the news on social media, describing an ambitious plan to release two very different films in 2027, marking a rapid expansion of his filmmaking career.

Doe, Cudi's directorial debut which began filming in Los Angeles in April, is described as an intense drama following 24 hours in the life of an addict living on the streets of LA, and stars Cudi alongside Mark Webber, Leah McNamara, Brandon Scott and Brandon Perea. His follow-up project, set to premiere in late summer 2027, will be a horror-comedy that Cudi says blends laughs with genuinely "gnarly" scares. The announcement caps a busy year for Cudi, who also headlined his Rebel Ragers Tour, which concluded in June.
