Alex Winter, best known for playing the vampire biker Marko in The Lost Boys and Bill S Preston Esq in the Bill & Ted films, is set to answer questions from Guardian readers as part of the paper's ongoing interview series. Winter began as a child actor on Broadway, appearing alongside Yul Brynner in The King and I, before his film debut opposite Charles Bronson in 1985's Death Wish 3. Beyond his best-known roles, he has written and directed films including Freaked and Fever, made documentaries on subjects such as the dark web and Frank Zappa, reunited with Keanu Reeves for a third Bill & Ted film in 2020, and starred opposite Reeves in a 2025 Broadway production of Waiting for Godot.
