A brawl broke out early on Sunday morning outside Tacos el Gordo in downtown San Diego, California, involving several men and women, some of the women wearing revealing outfits. Police officers, who had been stationed nearby, moved in quickly, deploying pepper spray on those involved and using a taser on one woman before the fight was brought under control. The cause of the altercation and the relationships between those involved remain unclear.

Footage of the incident, filmed by bystander Jason Guarnes while he waited for food, was posted to Instagram and has since drawn more than 11 million views and around 200,000 likes, along with widespread comment. It is not confirmed whether any arrests were made, and the San Diego Police Department has not yet responded to a request for comment. Local reports note that downtown San Diego is currently in its busiest season, with police increasing officer numbers over the summer to manage larger weekend crowds.
