Ikea has partnered with Microsoft to release Yxstaby, a nine-piece collection of gaming-themed furniture and homeware, timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox console. The range includes items such as a TV stand, laptop stand, side table, lounge chair and toolbox, with several pieces, including a stool, cushion, platter and mirrored display box, directly referencing Xbox controller designs. Ikea says the aim is to help people integrate gaming equipment into their homes in a way that feels natural rather than purely functional.

Standout pieces include a stool modelled on the Xbox controller's thumbstick, developed from the console's original 3D design files, and an X-shaped green scatter cushion. The lounge chair features a mesh pocket for storing controllers, while the wheeled TV stand and side table, available in black or white, offer shelving and storage for gaming accessories. The collection blends Ikea's typical neutral, Scandinavian-style materials with flashes of Xbox's signature green to highlight storage compartments, with each product co-designed by teams from both companies.
