CD Projekt Red Officially Reveals First Look at New Witcher Release
CD Projekt Red has shown more than 15 minutes of gameplay from Songs of the Past, an upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The footage introduces Letten, a seemingly cheerful countryside settlement that becomes far darker after nightfall, as Geralt investigates a mystery linked to Dandelion; the expansion is due next year.
The gameplay shows Geralt searching for a friend after a party, travelling through colourful rural scenery and fighting monsters. It also previews a new chain weapon that can pull enemies closer and slows time while attacks are aimed, while a remastered edition of the 2015 game will launch on 29 September as a free update for existing owners, with graphics, combat and skill-system changes.
