London artist Sarah Meth will release her debut album, Something Shameful, on 30 October through her own Wishbone imprint. Its lead single, ‘Don’t Touch Me You’re My Hero’, addresses perceived power imbalances and inadequate protection for women in the music industry, making the release a pointed statement as well as a personal artistic milestone.

The album explores heartbreak, shame, desire and longing, drawing heavily on a solo trip to New York in 2024 after Meth’s UK tour supporting King Krule. The single’s video features members of Shame, Sorry and RIP Magic; Meth also has forthcoming UK dates with Lowertown and Mary In The Junkyard, plus a Pitchfork London appearance in November.
