Prominent Democratic figures have condemned streamer Hasan Piker after he said that American Jews seen as prioritising support for Israel could eventually face violence. Critics, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, described the comments as dangerous and antisemitic, intensifying an existing dispute over Piker’s role in Democratic politics.

The reaction followed Piker’s discussion of Michigan state senator Jeremy Moss, a Jewish Democratic congressional candidate who says a fabricated audio clip misrepresented his views on Israel. Jeffries, DNC Chair Ken Martin, Senators Elissa Slotkin and Cory Booker, and several Democratic representatives were among those cited as criticising Piker; some had previously objected to politicians appearing alongside him. Representative Josh Gottheimer also highlighted a bipartisan resolution he introduced earlier this year condemning antisemitic rhetoric by Piker and Candace Owens.
