Devolver Digital has announced Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed, a mascot-led action-platformer scheduled for release on the same day as Grand Theft Auto 6. The move contrasts with the many publishers reportedly avoiding Rockstar’s major launch, and offers PC players a low-cost alternative while GTA 6 is expected to be console-only at release.

Presented as a remaster of an unreleased game, Reslimed follows Devolver mascot Volvy as he rescues kidnapped friends and confronts warlocks who have covered the world in slime. Players can smash through levels with a giant fist, uncover secrets, collect onions and transform into the stronger “Swolvy”, with minigames between stages; it launches on Steam on 19 November for $5, with a 25 per cent launch discount.
