Billboard · 4 hours ago

TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s “Setsuna Hanabi” debuted at number one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, driven by strong radio airplay and downloads after its release on 19 August. The result highlights the group’s continued popularity in Japan, where the chart measures performance across several formats rather than sales alone.

The single sold 420,878 physical copies, placing second in sales, while ranking 13th in streaming and 21st in video views. AKB48’s “Suki-ish” entered at number two despite selling the week’s highest 765,977 copies, while Kento Nakajima’s “ONIGOTO” debuted at four and Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Brand New” remained number one in streaming. The chart also saw renewed interest in older songs, including SPEED’s 1997 track “Body & Soul”, which entered for the first time after featuring in a Netflix reality series.
