David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Sequel Gets Official Release Update

Polygon · 5 hours ago

Netflix has confirmed that David Fincher’s sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood will be titled The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The film matters because it continues Tarantino’s story without him directing: Fincher is directing from Tarantino’s script, with Brad Pitt returning as the Oscar-winning stuntman Cliff Booth.

The sequel moves from the original film’s 1969 setting to a “very different Hollywood” in 1977, and also features Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. It will receive an exclusive two-week global IMAX run from 25 November before arriving on Netflix on 23 December; Tarantino has not yet announced his own tenth and reportedly final directing project.

  • Fincher’s Cliff Booth sequel reaches Netflix on 23 December.
  • It opens exclusively in IMAX from 25 November.
