Producer Hit-Boy has said he has not spoken to rapper Nas for three years and does not expect them to work together again. The disclosure suggests the end of a highly productive partnership that produced several critically acclaimed albums and helped Nas win a Grammy.

Hit-Boy said they made six albums and around 80 songs between 2020 and 2023, including the Grammy-winning King’s Disease. He declined to explain the falling-out in detail, saying there were “a lot of reasons”, while expressing respect for what they achieved; Billboard said it had contacted Nas’s team for comment.
