Vile male and female burglars raced to home of Florida couple killed in Kenya helicopter crash on hearing of their tragic deaths, prosecutors say
Florida prosecutors allege that Geybert Alexander Garcia, 40, and Melany Perdomo, 24, burgled the Coral Gables home of Adam Hlavaty and Henry Parra shortly after the couple died in a helicopter crash in Kenya. The case has drawn attention because the alleged theft occurred while relatives and friends were mourning the men, whose deaths were part of a crash that killed all seven people on board.
Police say the burglary took place between 20 and 22 August, after the 19 August crash near Mount Ololokwe in Samburu County. Investigators allege that artwork, jewellery, electronics, documents, a Range Rover and a Porsche Taycan were taken; a stolen MacBook was reportedly traced to a Hialeah address, where police said they recovered documents, artwork and a vehicle key. Garcia and Perdomo were arrested on charges including burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft.
