At least one person has died and 10 others were injured after a car drove into a group of people near Caen train station in northern France. Police have arrested one person, and investigators are examining reports that a fight near a bar may have preceded the incident.

Four people are being treated in a nearby hospital’s emergency ward, while six others have less serious injuries. The area around the station has been cordoned off, residents have been urged to avoid it, and Caen’s Specialised Crime Division is leading the investigation.
