GTA 6 gameplay details revealed in new preview, including seamless character switching, playing as a couple and more
A preview in Dazed has revealed new Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay details, including seamless switching between protagonists Jason and Lucia alone or together. The feature could make their relationship central to both missions and free-roam play, while Rockstar is also reportedly pursuing a more reactive world and consequential morality system.
Players can switch during activities such as driving to a job, browsing in-game social media, car chases and combat, and can take part in couple-focused activities including beach trips and jet-skiing. The preview says character weight will again change through eating and exercise, while NPCs will react differently to visible weapons; GTA 6 is due on 19 November for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, amid an ongoing dispute over Rockstar’s dismissal of dozens of staff.
