GTA 6 officially has character weight and exercise systems, and even “multi-day benders” reportedly have a visible effect
Grand Theft Auto 6 will include systems in which food changes protagonists Jason and Lucia’s weight, exercise builds and tones muscle, and prolonged exhaustion or “multi-day benders” visibly affect their appearance. The features signal a return to role-playing-style character simulation last seen prominently in GTA: San Andreas, while reinforcing Rockstar’s aim for a more grounded world where player behaviour has consequences.
The details were reported by Dazed following an interview-preview with Rockstar ahead of a Netflix extended-look premiere. Rockstar says its development team has doubled since Red Dead Redemption 2, enabling more varied NPC appearances, a detailed Vice City fashion culture, reactive public responses to armed behaviour, and seamless switching between the two playable leads; GTA 6 is due on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
