Of course Samsung made a 1,100Hz gaming monitor

The Verge · 3 hours ago

Samsung has unveiled new Odyssey gaming monitors at Gamescom, led by a 27-inch model claiming a 1,100Hz refresh rate. The announcement highlights the continuing race for exceptionally high display speeds, although the practical benefit of such rates for most players remains debated.

The Odyssey G6 reaches 1,100Hz only at 1080p, while offering 600Hz at its native 1440p resolution; Samsung says it will be available globally by the end of 2026, with no price confirmed. The 49-inch OLED G9 offers 360Hz at 5,120 x 1,440 or 720Hz at 2,560 x 720, while the 32-inch OLED G8 supports up to 680Hz at Full HD and the 42-inch curved OLED G7 offers 4K at 165Hz. Prices and release dates for the wider 2027 range have not been announced and will vary by market.
