Patrick Holland to Remain Chair and CEO of Banijay U.K. Following All3Media Merger

Variety ·

Patrick Holland will remain executive chairman and chief executive of Banijay U.K. after Banijay’s $8 billion merger with All3Media. His confirmation provides early clarity over leadership as the newly enlarged production group integrates its British operations, particularly amid questions about distribution and other potential efficiencies.

Holland will report to Banijay Entertainment CEO Marco Bassetti and oversee most of the combined U.K. portfolio, encompassing about 40 labels. The London-headquartered group is jointly owned by Banijay Group and RedBird IMI, each with a 50% stake; Holland joined Banijay U.K. from the BBC in 2022 and has overseen projects including “Half Man”, “House of Guinness” and “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man”.

  • Patrick Holland stays on as Banijay U.K. chair and CEO.
  • He will oversee roughly 40 combined British production labels.
  • The move clarifies leadership after the $8 billion All3Media merger.

Banijay and All3Media are major television production groups, making programmes through a range of specialist companies, or labels. Their merger brings those businesses together in a larger group with a substantial presence in the UK.

Patrick Holland joined Banijay UK in 2022 after working at the BBC. The enlarged UK operation includes about 40 labels, while the wider group is jointly owned by Banijay Group and RedBird IMI.

Bringing the companies together means decisions will be needed about how their UK businesses work alongside one another, including in programme distribution. Leadership and the way the group is organised matter to the many production labels and projects within it.
