GTA 6 Map Officially Triple the Size of Red Dead Redemption 2’s

Polygon · 10 hours ago

Rockstar Games says Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature its largest playable world yet, with Vice City and surrounding areas reportedly three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2’s playable map. The scale matters because exploration has long been central to the series, and the new setting, Leonida, is intended to support extensive land and water-based activities.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s playable area is estimated at about 29 square miles, although Rockstar has not published GTA 6’s full map or an exact area figure. A New York Times preview says Rockstar North’s studio head completed an approximately 80-hour play-through including the main story and some consequential optional objectives; GTA 6 is due for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on 19 November.
