J. Smith-Cameron Joins ‘Law & Order: SVU’ in Recurring Role
J. Smith-Cameron has joined the upcoming 28th season of “Law & Order: SVU” in a recurring role as jury consultant Gwen Sharpe. Details of her character’s storyline have not been disclosed, but the casting adds an Emmy-nominated actor best known for playing Gerri Kellman in “Succession” to the long-running crime drama.
Season 28 premieres on NBC on 8 October at 9pm, with Mariska Hargitay returning as Captain Olivia Benson alongside Ice T, Peter Scanavino and Kelli Giddish. Smith-Cameron received two Emmy nominations, plus Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations, for “Succession”, and will also appear in FX’s forthcoming series “Seven Sisters”.
