Sheffield United Women have signed Arsenal teenager Sophie Harwood on loan for the 2026–27 season. The move gives the England youth international an opportunity for regular senior football in the Women’s Super League 2, while Arsenal continue to develop academy players through loan spells.

Harwood, 18, joined Arsenal’s academy from Southampton in 2024 and signed her first professional contract in January 2026. She made her Arsenal first-team debut in March during a 5–0 win over West Ham, has featured in Women’s Super League and Champions League matchday squads, and has captained England at under-16 and under-17 level.
