In GTA 6 You’re Not Just Wanted, You’re Hunted

IGN · 10 hours ago

Grand Theft Auto 6 expands its wanted system so police do not merely pursue players during a chase but actively hunt them using specific identifying information. This makes escaping crime more strategic, as players may need to alter their appearance, abandon vehicles or separate from accomplices to reduce the police’s ability to track them.

The six-star wanted scale returns for the first time since 2009’s Chinatown Wars, reversing GTA 5’s five-star system. New HUD icons show what police know, including a physical description, clothing, CCTV sightings, vehicle details and whether two suspects are together; crimes must also be witnessed or reported by an alarm before dispatch responds. Rockstar says the more information police hold, the easier it is for them to locate the player across Leonida.

  • GTA 6 police use detailed suspect information to hunt players.
  • Six wanted stars return after GTA 5’s five-star system.
  • Changing clothes, vehicles or companions may help evade police.
