Russia struck an ammunition depot in Mila, near Kyiv, with a drone during a third consecutive day of attacks on the capital region, causing a large fire, explosions and undisclosed fatalities. The incident damaged nearby homes and infrastructure, while prompting Ukraine’s prime minister to call for an investigation into whether explosives had been stored too close to residential areas.

More than 200 residents were evacuated and at least six people were injured; one home was destroyed, seven damaged, and the M-06 Kyiv–Chop motorway was closed while firefighters tackled the blaze for 12 hours. Russian channels made unverified claims about the depot’s contents, while Ukraine also launched drone strikes in Russia’s Rostov region, where warehouses and other sites were reportedly hit and seven people were injured by intercepted drones.
