Shame have announced they will take a hiatus after completing the final shows supporting their 2025 album ‘Cutthroat’. The South London band said the break was intended to benefit both the members individually and the group, while stressing that it is temporary and that they plan to return with a fifth album.

Their remaining dates are in Huddersfield on 2 September, Sheffield on 3 September and Manchester on 4 September, following a recent Green Man appearance. Released last September through Dead Oceans, ‘Cutthroat’ expanded the band’s post-punk sound with electronic, jangle-pop and spaghetti-western influences, and followed touring in support of Fontaines D.C.
