Jack Moylan gave Cardiff the lead after 80 seconds, but Tom Cannon equalised from the penalty spot less than a minute later and Callum O’Hare put Sheffield United ahead after seven minutes. Cian Ashford levelled in the 38th minute; Cardiff then had 29 shots to United’s six, with Perry Ng hitting the crossbar late on.
