All the key details on HoYo’s co-op monster slayer Nodusfall
HoYoverse has revealed Nodusfall, a free-to-play co-operative action game centred on hunting large mythical monsters in a dark-fantasy world. It represents a notable departure for the studio behind anime-style gacha games such as Genshin Impact, both in visual tone and because characters will be unlocked through gameplay rather than random draws.
Players will act as divine-powered “Weavers” fighting corrupted creatures across varied regions, alone or in teams of up to four. The game will include boss-derived abilities, transformable combat forms, role and loadout changes, co-operative finishing moves and a PvP mode involving player-controlled bosses; there is no release date, though pre-registration and sign-ups for future betas are available. HoYoverse is considering cosmetic monetisation, while other potential randomised systems have not been confirmed.
