Tom Hardy has released a full-length rap album with underground hip-hop group Czarface under the alias Frankie Pulitzer. The collaboration matters because it moves Hardy beyond previous guest appearances with the group and prominently incorporates his well-known Bane character voice into a serious music project.

Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer contains 15 tracks and features Busta Rhymes, Method Man, El-P and Kendra Morris. On “Grim-Visaged War”, Hardy delivers Shakespeare’s “Now is the winter of our discontent” in Bane’s distinctive cadence, while the album draws on comic-book, film and literary references; Hardy had pursued rap as a teenager and recorded unreleased material in the late 1990s.
