James Bond Star’s ‘Schindler’s List’ Replacement Is Officially Being Removed From Paramount+

Collider ·

Daniel Craig's 2008 World War II drama "Defiance" is being removed from Paramount+ in the United States in September 2026, giving subscribers a limited window to watch it before it leaves the platform. The film, released during Craig's tenure as James Bond, is a lesser-known entry in his filmography that has drawn comparisons to "Schindler's List" for its true story of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust, though it never matched that film's critical or commercial success.

Directed by Edward Zwick, who previously made "Blood Diamond" and "The Last Samurai," "Defiance" dramatises the true story of four Belarusian Jewish brothers who led a resistance effort to rescue fellow Jews from Nazi persecution. The film also starred Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell and George MacKay, and arrived the same year as Craig's second Bond outing, "Quantum of Solace," but performed modestly at the box office and received a mixed critical reception.
