Sheffield Wednesday thrashed Bromley 7-2, prompting Bromley manager Andy Woodman to describe his side’s display as “horrific”. He said his players were too open and lacked the discipline and commitment needed to carry out their roles, allowing Wednesday to dominate the match.

Woodman said it was the worst performance he had seen from Bromley during his five-and-a-half years at the club and called for an immediate response in training. Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen praised his team’s discipline, attacking movement and ability to cope with Bromley’s direct approach, although he was disappointed to concede twice after building a 7-0 lead.
