South Yorkshire Police investigate serious crimes across Sheffield and the wider county. Wincobank is an area in the north-east of Sheffield, and Holywell Heights is a residential location there.
A murder investigation is opened when police suspect a death may have been caused unlawfully. It allows detectives to gather evidence and establish what happened; an investigation at this stage does not determine anyone’s guilt.
