Unifrance Rendez-Vous TV Mart Spotlights Ancient Rome, 19th Century Paris, Retired Spooks, Luchadores, Diplomatic Intrigue and Gaza
The 32nd Unifrance Rendez-Vous TV content market opens on 7 September in Le Havre, showcasing more than 350 French television programmes to international buyers. The condensed four-day event will feature around 50 exclusive screenings of scripted series, animated shows and documentaries, alongside industry panels and the presentation of France's 2025 TV export figures by Unifrance and the CNC.
Highlighted titles span a wide range of genres, including "Beasts of the Colosseum", a historical documentary on ancient Rome's animal spectacles; "Swapped", a 19th-century Paris drama likened to "Downton Abbey"; and a Stendhal adaptation, "The Red and the Black". Other notable shows include spy drama "Country Spy", Mexican-inspired children's animation "Super-Lucha", art-world thriller "The Nefertiti Case", and Gaumont's diplomatic drama "The Deal", set during 2015 Iran nuclear talks. Last year's market drew roughly 150 buyers from 40 countries and more than 50 French distribution companies.
