Dinosaur Jr add 2027 dates to North American tour
Alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr have extended their North American tour into 2027, adding a fresh run of dates just days before the first leg of the current tour begins. The move supports their new album, There Near, released on 28 August via Jagjaguwar, and gives fans further afield more chances to catch the trio live as they promote the record.
The new dates will see J Mascis, Murph and Lou Barlow open the new year with two shows at Brooklyn Steel in New York, before continuing through Philadelphia, Silver Spring, Carrboro, Jacksonville and Petersburg in February. March brings stops in Kansas City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit and Toronto, closing with a final show in Boston, with support from Starcrawler. Before then, the band play Virginia Beach's Oceanfront Concert Series on 12 September and kick off their initial tour leg in Las Vegas on 9 October; Far Out gave There Near a three-and-a-half-star review.
