‘Bunker,’ ‘Ink,’ ‘Babies’ Join Zurich Film Festival’s Gala Premieres Section
The Zurich Film Festival has expanded its Gala Premieres section with 12 additional films for its 22nd edition, drawing a mix of star power and acclaimed directors from around the world. Highlights include Florian Zeller's thriller "Bunker" starring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Danny Boyle's drama "Ink" with Jack O'Connell, Guy Pearce and Claire Foy, and the European premiere of Lauren Miller Rogen's comedy "Babies", featuring Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen. Festival director Reta Guetg said the additions bring "outstanding voices and stories from different parts of the world to Zurich."
Other new titles include Noah Segan's crime thriller "The Only Living Pickpocket in New York" with John Turturro and Steve Buscemi, Jordan Firstman's comedy-drama "Club Kid", and Ali Asgari's "A Bit of Light", whose director will also premiere a film in competition at Venice. World premieres among the additions include Frauke Finsterwalder's "Eurotrash" and "Blood Money", starring rapper Noizy and Moritz Bleibtreu. The full programme for the 22nd Zurich Film Festival is due to be published on 9 September.
