Maine lighthouse proved to be no match for man dancing in the buff who was armed with a golf club
Police in York, Maine, arrested a man after he was found naked, dancing and allegedly wielding a golf club at the historic Cape Neddick Lighthouse, also known as Nubble Light. The incident, reported by the Bangor Daily News, saw the man accused of trespassing and causing damage to the lighthouse before being taken into custody without incident.
The alleged trespass and vandalism occurred at around 6:15pm on a Tuesday evening last week. Officers subsequently took the man to hospital for a mental health evaluation rather than pursuing criminal charges. Police have not released his identity, though they noted he was known to several local establishments and had recently been asked to leave them for disruptive behaviour, which was not treated as a criminal matter.
