Fortnite Releases New Official Roadmap Ahead of Season’s First Major Update

Polygon · 3 hours ago

Epic Games has published its roadmap for the second week of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, ahead of the season's first major update, due on Thursday 3 September. The update follows the Fortnite Override content drop that launched on 20 August, giving players a chance to settle into the new Battle Pass cosmetics, landmarks and weapons before Epic refreshes the experience with new and returning items built around the season's hacking theme.

A teaser from Fortnite's Status account confirmed the update will bring back vaulted weapons alongside new ones, previously unseen Sprites, and additional loot hacks and overrides. As with the previous week, Monday remains Cheat Code Day, offering easier access to better cheat codes plus double Sprite XP and Sprite Dust, while Saturday's Power Hours will boost spawn rates for certain sprite variants, the 1Up token and portable extractors. Thursday, usually reserved for new Sprites, has instead become "Update Day"; leaker Blortzen has suggested the vaulted Typhoon Blade could return, possibly reskinned as a Keyblade tied to the rumoured Kingdom Hearts collaboration, though Epic has not confirmed this. Downtime for the update is expected to begin at either 2am or 4am ET.
